Children Theatre
The children’s theatre has a long tradition in the Schlachthof. For almost 30 years, Sunday performances for children from the age of three have been held here from November to March in various genres. We present the whole world of theatre for children: puppet theatre, drama, dance, music theatre as well as clowning and magic. Our stage is open to old favourites and new discoveries.
The plays tie in with the children’s world of experience and encourage them to actively participate and join in the action. The performances are an experience for young and old alike. Some parents who accompany their children to the performances today already know and appreciate these events from their own childhood.
In the series “Theatre from the Beginning” the theatre groups perform directly in the kindergarten and thus also reach children who, for various reasons, do not usually attend a theatre performance with their family.
