Boots Night

BOOTS NIGHT – the name for subculture at the Schlachthof e.V. cultural centre.

Boots Night is a concert series organised by volunteers at the Schlachthof cultural centre.

We are dedicated to subculture, especially the original anti-racist skinhead movement, and have been organising small, intimate concerts in the genres of ska, early reggae, rocksteady, boss reggae, punk, Oi! and sometimes soul for 29 years now.

Our core group of 10 people and other volunteer supporters, without whom we would not be able to hold these concerts, keep old Jamaican music alive in Bremen and beyond by regularly inviting Jamaican artists to perform at the Schlachthof with a lot of love and dedication.

We are very proud to have hosted such great artists as Laurel Aitkin, Roy Ellis, Keith & Tex, Rudie Mills, Roy and Yvonne, Doreen Schaffer, Mr. Review, The Slackers, Bad Manners, Dr. Ring Ding, Blechreiz, The Upsessions, The Selekter, The Magnetics, Buster Shuffle, The Hacklers, The Valkyrians, Frau Doktor, Rantanplan, Skaface and so many others at the Schlachthof.

In the harder genre, Agnostic Front were guests at Boots Night, and Loaded, Red Alert, Attila The Stockbroker, Stiff Little Fingers, 999, Peacocks, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Dallax, Los Fastidios, Spitfire and many others have been guests several times over the years.

We want to continue this series for as long as possible and hope to continue to appeal to a curious and enthusiastic audience. Come by, see for yourself and support us and the musical diversity in Bremen.

We look forward to seeing you!

We stand for the original idea of 2-Tone: black and white united! As well as clearly for anti-fascism and democracy. We want a diverse and colourful society. That’s why exclusionary opinions and attitudes, hostility and discrimination of any kind have no place here!
